[Arashi] Time concert booklet - Ninomiya Kazunari


Notes: This was oddly more difficult than Ohno's. XD;; I think Nino has this way of just saying the first thing that comes to mind, then phrasing his next sentences according to that, so his words were hard to rephrase for the translation. If anything doesn't make sense, please ask!

Arashi Alphabetical Talk about Concert - Ninomiya Kazunari

A - ARASHI
ARASHI is it. ARASHI, Arashi... I've already been asked about this so much that I don't know anymore. Because I don't know whether it's true that I'm already in (Arashi). Clearly, if we don't solve what kind of thing Arashi is... we won't understand. These are my honest feelings. At least for that, maybe it means that it's the very thing that I am, the one that's close to me?

C - CONCERT
It feels like we've been doing this for a year somehow. But clearly, it's a "fun thing". Also, it sets an example for the people who are doing dramas and variety shows and such. That goes without saying for the fans of course. The fans set an example for different people. Somehow... I'm often told things like, "You can really sing and dance huh". I'm often told things like,"You're truly great people". I have a longer history with that! is how it goes (laughs). That's what I mean by setting an example... the one who sets it, are the concerts I think.

E - ENERGY
You know, our choreographer often says, "Nice energy!" Once a concert ends? If we ask, "How were we?" he'd say, "Nice energy!"... he'll definitely say it. It doesn't pass on to us at all though (laughs). I still don't get it, what it means. "Hey, what does that 'nice energy' mean?" is what I ask but, that's the only thing he says, you see.

F - "Friendship"
It's Aiba-kun's solo song in the album "Time" but, the feelings for Arashi that Aiba-kun has in the lyrics... while I don't know who wrote those, it's a song that's singing about those sort of things. It's kind of amazing isn't it. I think it's a great song. Yep, I really like it.

J - JOHNNY'S Jr.
I think the Juniors really work hard. Since last year and along with this year, they've really worked hard for us. For the summer concerts, Asia tours, they've followed us all the way after all. When I myself was a Jr., I often followed the other groups to their concerts but, M.A.D couldn't go to the others right, it's been Arashi's concerts all the time (laughs). "Um... there are still more Arashi tours," and they can't refuse. I feel bad (laughs). Well, the Jr. kids that are following us now, how popular they are, how good their singing is, how well they dance... I don't know about those sort of things. Of course, their dancing is good though! While I've never seen the other areas of them, they have good character. All of them promise loyalty, and do their job well. Great character. Truly, I'm very thankful to the Jr.

M - MELODY
When you create your songs, you'd sing through the nose and any way you like right. If I can remember that for more than 3 days, the song awakens. Till today various... I think that probably several thousand melodies have appeared but, the ones that have become songs, there are only ten in there. For all of those, they're all the ones that I remember for over 3 days. Clearly there are melodies that enter my head with one hit, and melodies that I always forget. That's why, rather than "Because it appeared, I'll write it down," it's "Because it appeared, I'll leave it alone". But, the melodies that appear again, I do keep them. That's the standard I guess.

N - NINOMIYA SOLO "Niji" NIJI
I wrote this song on my own. It's like, "You're prettier than a rainbow". Well... that's the kind of thing I'm writing about but, it's also not that kind (laughs). Well, it's really... a song with that sort of feel so, I thought that I'd write the lyrics with a bright touch, and in the end I relaxed with that but, of course, I think I'll perform it at the summer live too. But, it probably will have a feel that won't have too much movement huh. It's a song with this kind of feel right (laughs).

O - OMIYA-SK
Well... I wonder how it'll turn out this summer? Because it's always decided by lottery whether it'll be performed or not (laughs). It truly has gone on well up till now huh, with great effort. It's too bad right? At the Tokyo Dome, well... we didn't get the raffle. Although we couldn't show you anything then, somehow for the summer! At the lottery that we go through together right? I'd like to pull out a winning ticket.

R - ROLE
My role is, well, the handler. Ah... no, manager I guess? Manager (laughs). Somehow, "Ah... then, here, I'll have you conclude this properly" is what I've told often, recently. And, "Then, let's move on to the next one!" sort of flow (laughs)? "What the hell is that..." kind of thing (laughs). Well but... that means that this is the kind of thing he's turned into, Ninomiya Kazunari has.

S - STAR
Well, it's a word that cannot be left out from a "star" right. Yep yep, these 23 years... when this pamphlet comes out, it'll already be 24 years. Well, this star path right? I've already walked it with confidence you see. There isn't such a star human in 24 years, I think it's an unusual type. It still hasn't declined yet right? And on the other hand, the radiance is increasing too. Well, he's clearly amazing, even I feel shocked. Is this what it means, to be born from the origins of a star's planet? To become this perfect? I'm... really scared. That me scares me. Shall I say it one more time? That me scares me (laughs).

V - VIEWERS (= the people watching)
For the concert this time, I think it'll be a very difficult concert. The new audience has really... with much appreciation, has really increased. That means, we have to do something major, and we have to consider how many people are listening to Arashi's album too. Because the concert begins four days after the album release. We don't know how far it can permeate... but that's something that we worry about every time. But, I guess the viewers' scope has begun to change, so to meet that conflict, the ratio? Somehow... it's like we leave it to the viewers. Of course, they can't do a thing if we do leave it to them (laughs)! How shall I put this, I guess it's good to have those moments? something like that. I think that's what this concert is.

ARASHI SUMMER TOUR 2007 TIME ~Strength of words~
Because this year's tour will be one that goes over 40 performances, without injury and without illness, we wish to make the rounds of the entire tour at perfect health, that's what each person is feeling now. Of course, guests are feeling that way as well! It's a waste after all, to get hurt on the day before the concert? Everyone will be sad you know. You'll be sad, your parents will be sad! Arashi will be sad too!! Right? That's why, for each and every performance, in order to enjoy it at perfect health, we of course, and our guests, I'd like you to be careful there (laughs).

It truly is another summer. It's a tour that we haven't performed for a year right. I think the theme this time is "words" so, it's about whether the viewers can accept that for us. For the new guests who had the triumphant return and Domes as their first Arashi lives, for the guests who come to watch our lives every time, I want to create something that they can all enjoy. That's the most essential, and the most difficult part... for that right now, that's what we're having meetings for. Well, every year right? We'll do it in the summer, but, consider how many more summers we can greet. It's probably good if we can actually greet 60 more summers (laughs). When I consider it like that, I find that there sure are very few summers. For those each and every summer right, I think it'll be great if they were memorable summers. I want to make those each and every summer into something that has proper meaning.
