[Arashi] Time concert booklet - Ohno Satoshi

Note: A "live" is what concerts are called in Japan. Probably short for "live performance", though at times, they use the actual word "concert" too. Pick and choose I guess!

Arashi Alphabetical Talk about Concert - Ohno Satoshi

A - ARASHI
I guess it means "strong wind". Normally that's what it is right? When a storm comes, the wind gets strong. Ah... that's a hurricane huh (laughs). But you know, I think we've gotten stronger. When we had our debut, I often said, "We're not a storm... but wind right?" (laughs). Now we may have become a proper "strong wind", that's the hope included with "strong wind" (laughs).

B - BACKSTAGE
If we speak of backstage, it's the rehearsals I guess. The quick change venue behind the stage and such, these kinds of places are called backstage but, for me, I lump that together with the "actual performance". That's why, backstage is, the middle of a rehearsal. Hey... wasn't I a little cool just now (laughs)?

C - CHOREOGRAPHY
I've been given the chance to do my own choreography after all. But, even for the gestures that I've worked on my own, there are times when I forget them. Often, I'll mistake right and left, and end up performing opposite gestures (laughs). That's why... I wonder, what is choreography? It's certainly hard. After listening to the song, imagining the gestures, and thinking, "Ah, I want to try this gesture," there are times when I myself say, "I want to do it". I wonder how it'll be for this concert? I think I probably won't do it... I still don't know but, for my own solo, I intend to do my own choreography.

D - DANCE
Dance. Dancing gets rid of stress (laughs). That's the sort of feeling it is I guess. Basically, when there's a song, I like performing that with alot of noise best. Randomly and freely (laughs). Just recently too, I went to a bar-like place that had many Chinese, and danced (laughs). It was really really interesting. Rather than fixed choreography and dance, I may prefer that sort of thing. It's fun. At that time I jumped too. For the last half, I hopped the entire time (laughs). Of course, I'm like that on stage too. I'll dance for this year's live! I'll dance you know. I'll dance now while I can. While my body can move (laughs). Somehow, I like riding on the rhythm. That's why basically, I don't like remembering choreographies (laughs). I'm bad at the feel of doing something fixed. I like dancing freely. Although I'm just randomly doing it with a ya~y! Isn't that interesting? Anyone can do that. That person can ride on the rhythm and dance as he likes.... I really like that sort of dance, it's fun.

F - FAN & FUN
The fun in concerts is, clearly the communication with fans. It's most interesting when communication can be made. I also think it's a little strange too. After all, "Why are they so happy, when all I do is a peace sign?"... is what I think a little (laughs). I'm happy, but it's somehow quite strange. The fans pull out lots of different signs too. When I think, "Alright, it's a peace sign right," it'll be like, "Eh... three (fingers)!?" (laughs). Both signs and messages have been increasing more and more, so it's really interesting. And responding to that is fun too.

G - GREEN ROOM
At the dressing room, I... don't do anything at all (laughs). I think the dressing room casually turns into "a fun place". The dressing rooms for lives are especially like that.

H - HAPPENING
If we speak of happenings, tha~t's, clearly, that one. When I stripped off a quick-change costume, it turned out to be underwear. That's the one (laughs). That was the second concert I think? The next summer of the first live. I think it was definitely in a district but, I was doing the MC with Sho-kun, then I said, "Next is my solo!", and when I lowered my costume up till here (around the waist), it was underwear (laughs). I hadn't worn a costume underneath. I panicked, "Crap! I forgot to put it on," and went to change... After that, when I returned to the stage, I danced seriously as though nothing had happened (laughs). That sort of happening has occurred before huh. Boy~, I was shocked by that. It's a good thing I didn't realise it in the middle of the song, seriously. If it was in the middle of the song, I wonder how it would've turned out (laughs).

L - LAUGH
There's such a thing, as liking everyone's laughing faces right. But... while I'm happy when everyone laughs at something I had deliberately done to make them laugh, there were times when I was laughed at although I was just being myself (laughs). When I get fingers pointed at me and loud guffaws, I'd think, "Am I that funny!?" Somehow... there are times when that happens but, what are those? There are times where I go, "Why did they laugh just now?" I'd think, "You're a little rude!" (laughs).

N - NEW ALBUM
For each and every song for this time's album, the song lyrics are good, and the melodies are truly great. You know, somehow, it feels like you'd want to listen to it all the time. I want you to listen to the five members' solos, and the latest solos are in it as well, so I want you to go through and listen to all of it. I really love it. I'm excited about his time's live too. What kind of songs and how these songs are lined up, how will they turn into a live. Arashi's lives, have often been said to "turn people energetic" so, I think it'll be great if we can bring more of that out this time.

S - OHNO SOLO "SONG FOR ME"
Because it has a pretty up-tempo feel, I think it'll be great if I can dance that at the live too. For me, instead of riding the rhythm and dancing, it's more... how should I put it? Somehow... I can't say it well but, it's a song that I requested, "Something like this!" (laughs). If I use an image, it has a "complicated" feel I guess. Emotions take flight in various places... it's like being in a pinch. Like there's a feeling of danger... a feel of thrill! (laughs). You don't really get it? That can't be helped. I think you'll understand if you listen to it (laughs). It's just that, regarding the live's solo, I haven't thought of any choreography so, I can't make any comments on it now. I do have an image of it but, even if I ran straight ahead with nothing but images... once I perform, it'll happen that "Ahhh... I can't move my body at all" (laughs). But, towards the direction of dance! I'm thinking in the direction of working hard (laughs)! Please look forward to it.

ARASHI SUMMER TOUR 2007 Time --Strength of words--
Asia tour, the triumphant return, Dome and... because we've been continuously performing lives, to be able to perform lives that feel like "the usual summer" "the usual summer tour" yet again, it's somehow... really refreshing. It feels like I can relax. Relax... or, it feels like it'll become "another new" tour.

I said this in the Dome pamphlet as well but, "It'd great if the people who came to watch Arashi's live for the first time in April, came to watch the live again," and I really do think that it'd be great if that happened. And, it'd be great if everyone became more energetic with that. I'll definitely know the guests who come to watch for the first time. After all, I know the faces of the fans who always come to lives, the fans who came for the Dome, I think I'll remember them too. Recently too, when I rode the train, I thought, "Huh? I've seen this person somewhere before". And, when the live began, I found her. It was a girl who came to the lives every time. She was really lively, I thought, "Ah, it's that girl!" (laughs). That's why, I'll be happy if many new guests came. I'd like to find alot of them. But, to have many added performances confirmed, it means that they'll come? That's right... that must be it right. I was surprised when the additions were confirmed after all. "This many!? We're doing well, Arashi!" is what I thought (laughs). For this year's summer too, I'd like to have fun with everyone. Let's make communication again!
