[Arashi] MYOJO March 2008 - Sakurai Sho
Finally, the Keio chipmunk is done!! *grins at [info]yuckie_chan* Have a look at what our smart boy has to say~

(Also omg he went to UCLA for an interview asl;dkfj what.)

p. 84

SHO SAKURAI
For work he went around all of Japan & Korea. Even on his off days he has a really hard schedule!
Sakurai Sho

Q. Last night, what did you do?

Last night, I came back from Korea, and drank alcohol while eating the Korean seaweed that I bought home. Really, the Bekusejyu (alcohol) that I drank over there was so good, I wanted to buy it home but, there wasn't time at the airport so I couldn't buy it.

Q. This morning, what time did you wake up?

About 11am.

Q. The first thing you did upon waking up.

I stopped the alarm clock on the snooze status, and lengthened it to another 15 minutes. I pushed down without stopping it properly but, it'll ring again 15 minutes later. I didn't have to be early today so, I didn't turn on my cellphone alarm.

Q. The time it takes before you leave the house?

1 hour I think. It's about the time I take to take a bath, make preparations, and drink water.

Q. Lately, something that you've smiled at, that you've laughed at.

In February, Satoshi-kun's collection of artwork will be out but, the last 2 pages were the best!! For about 20 minutes, I looked at it and laughed the entire time. Really, I can't get sick of it!

Q. Lately, something you had fun with.

When I went to Korea to gather information for "NEWS ZERO". I went to Korea where there was employment difficulties, and I asked college students who were currently searching for employment about their expectations for the Presidental elections, so it was interesting. The whole thing took about 4 hours. To hear the opinions of people who are of the same generation but of different cultures, it was profound. The food was delicious too. ♥

Q. Lately, something that that made you happy.

At the launch for the World Cup Volleyball, I received MIP, and received a Babo-chan doll from the staff who coordinated all the appearances together. The people who made the special VTR for the moments right before the final match, were the "Mago Mago Arashi" staff members. I discovered that at the launch as well but, I was happy to be able to be with the staff that I had worked with before too.

Q. Lately, something that made you angry, that made you frustrated.

Today, before I left the house, I connected a cable with the intention to transfer images that I took on an outside-use, small hard disk, into my home's master hard disk but, a display that said, "It will take about 3 minutes" came up. I only had about 30 minutes before I had to leave so, I came here without watching it finish. If a computer freezes when I use it, or the reading that it's doing stops, I get frustrated. "You idiot," I'd think (laughs).

Q. Lately, something that made you sad, something that caused you pain.

Basically there really isn't anything but, the fact that the results of both the male and female teams at the World Cup Volleyball didn't meet expectations. Even though they put out their energy in the second half, it's because they couldn't ride the wave in the first half. It was great on the days they won matches but, when they lose, it's clearly hard to talk to players...

Q. Lately, something embarrassing.

Nothing especially.

Q. Lately, something that touched you.

At the airport when I was returning home in Seoul, just like when I went with Arashi, about 300 fans came to see me off. I was shocked but, I was happy.

Q. Lately, something that hurt.

The raise of the starting cost for a taxi ride.

Q. Your latest troubles.

I don't have any.

Q. Your latest off-day.

I went to my old school's Gakuen Festival, then went to play golf all day, then practised DJ at a friend's house. I was busy (laughs).

Q. Something you bought lately.

Clothes. Two sweaters, an outer wear, 2 polo-shirts. I guess I'll let the polo-shirts sleep until it's summer.

Q. Lately, the item you'll definitely carry around with you.

iPod, lip cream. I always immediately lose my lip cream.

Q. About how much money do you have in your possession today?

About 20,000, or 30,000 yen?

Q. Lately, an item you're obsessed with, or an incident.

Fingering my CDJ.

Q. Lately, a delicious meal you had.

During the World Cup Volleyball, I ate various foods from different regions. Also, the tofu-chige (tofu hot pot) that I ate at Korea's Koryo University was delicious. That was also really cheap. Good things aren't always expensive right.

Q. Something that you want to eat the most.

Just now, I just ate so I'm full. Truthfully, I would've liked a duck nanban (food with chilli peppers) but, because there wasn't any I chose yamakake soba (soba with Japanese yam on it).

Q. Lately, music that you like.

There's a genre called Jazz Hip-hop, and it's nice to listen to. NEWS's "Weeek" is good too.

Q. Lately, an interesting movie, DVD.

In the airplane, I watched "Biruma no Tategoto" (Biruma's excellent performance) but, I only watched the first 30 minutes so, I'd like to watch it over again properly. Also, m-flo's live DVD. I couldn't go so, I was flailing all over on my own while watching it (laughs).

Lately, an incident or a piece of news that you're concerned about.

In September this year, the presidential summit for the gathering of the presidents of lower legislative houses from various countries will open, and I'm concerned about that.

Q. Lately, a person you want to meet.

Kojima Yoshio. I want to see him in casual clothes.

Q. Now, the item you want most.

Nothing really.

Q. Now, something that you want to try, that you want to start.

About 2 months ago, I bought a single-lens reflex camera but, I haven't used it at all so, I want to take pictures. But even while I say that, I bought it for vacation trips. I'd like to go on a vacation somewhere.

Q. Now, something you want to stop.

Nothing especially.

Q. Today, when you go home, what do you plan to do?

I'll check on the computer that I connected this morning.

Q. About how many minutes, do you take a bath?

About 30 minutes.

Q. When you enter the bath, where do you start washing from?

From my head.

Q. Lately, is there something you definitely do before you sleep?

Brush my teeth. When I went to the local districts for work, I checked my mail on the computer, then slept with music playing.

Q. The way you look when you sleep lately.

Sweats and trainers. Before our debut, I bought a UCLA one when we had an interview with MYOJO at LA, so I'm still wearing that you know.

Q. A dream you had lately.

I don't remember any~

Also, m-flo's live DVD. I couldn't go so, I was flailing all over on my own while watching it (laughs).

BUT MOST OF ALL:
I bought a UCLA one when we had an interview with MYOJO at LA, so I'm still wearing that you know.

AHHHHHH I GO THERE NOW D: COME BACK AND VISIT US AGAIN

IMAGINE: JUST 8 YEARS AGO, ARASHI WAS WALKING AROUND YOUR CAMPUS GROUNDS.

And a CDJ is this. *grin* Sho must be into DJ work now.

You're welcome!! And spam is always love. :Db

This is my current favorite song by them (m-flo got me into J-pop like, 7 years ago?) - it's a duet with ALEX of Clazziquai project, and I'm pretty sure it's the performance that was filmed for their DVD.

ALSKDJLAKSJD WHY WASN'T I BORN EARLIER D:

Ooooh, I'd totally love to see Sho DJ a song. Has he done that already on Music Station, or was that Nino...?

Oh wow, a live version? And the English is perfect. *____* Niiiiice. Is this the kind of song they usually sing?

T-They might go back again someday?

Yeeesss, he'd look so hot doing it. *purrs* ... I didn't even know Arashi DJ'd something before. :O

I am so glad Johnny's Engrish does not infect the entire Japanese music industry :Dd

See, they used to actually have a female vocalist, LISA, who's now solo. This song was the very first m-flo song I ever heard :D, and LISA was still there ♥

So I would say their style varies but is generally upbeat with rapping and vocals, yes. :D

Haha, knowing my luck, they'll probably be back AFTER I graduate. =_=

Found tiny!Sho DJ-ing :D This LJ has it (last performance uploaded, I believe).

m-flo are a hip-hop group who usually collaborate with other artists. Kinda like how Jay-Z and Timbaland collaborate with a billion singers.

This is my favourite m-flo song featuring Monkey Majik

I'll check on the computer that I connected this morning.

I love that it frustrates him so much, I like to imagine him trashing his computer. ;dsakl

He's such a deep-thinker. I wonder when he ever takes his brain off. During Shukudaikun recordings, I guess? But it's somewhat a pity that he bought a very pretty and VERY VERY shiny camera (i hate him!), and yet he couldn't even have the time to take time off to test drive it. :|

Thank you again for translating! Phew... okay I shall go take an eye break now. :)

He probably does. Or maybe mail someone in frustration. XDD

You should email him. Be like, Sho-chan, if you don't have time to use that camera SEND IT OVER PLZ. *shot*

My pleasure~~ ♥ And yes, rest your eyes. *pats* Otherwise you'd have to get glasses... though it's a good excuse to buy those professional business-type feminine ones. |Db

♥ AKI THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ♥

Okay, where should I start. He's very serious, I'm getting confused xDDDD Basically he's concerned about work, mails, and delicious food. But everything seems more complicated xDDDD Everything that troubles him related to politics/social issues, how hard is that. And he's mad with his computer xD Sho-kun, don't be like that, it's working hard for you xD (CK ish someone who loves computers). Oh surely he'll love mflo, I think he was being taught rap or got many influence from mflo... and I do wonder how Kojima Yoshio looks like, wearing more than just an underwear and not saying "Sonna no kankeinee! oppapi!". And dear Sho, if you lose lip cream, don't hesitate to take it of rida's lips.xD

Thanks Aki, it was enjoyable. It would take 8932478374938924 minutes of my life if I have to read this in its original text xD Why he always use difficult words and sentence form. Despite that, I love him though xDDDD

Ah sho-kunnn hunnn, I don't remember any dreams as well *clings* We're meant for each other

By last couple pages (of Freestyle) does he mean last couple art pieces or those goofy-ass getups Ohno got himself into. I can see Sho laughing for 20 minutes straight at those.

And it's nice to hear Sho flails around on his own too.

Probably the goofy-ass getups. XDDD I almost want to hear a recording of him laughing... he has such a hearty, infectious laugh.

Do you remember that one MMA talk where Sho said he'd find a spot in a concert and just dance on his own to the music? That's how I imagine him flailing on the airplane. XDb

Ehhh Sho-kun's into photography and even have SLR for that... pity he doesn't use it....

I can perfectly understand the frustration when one's PC can't match your expected speed.... what the heck i sometime type faster and wait for the letters to come on screen (will always ticks me off during my moody days).

Anyways, arigatou for the transalations.
